Last week Steve Smith lit up the Arizona Backfield for 178 yards and 2 TDs on the back of an amazing debut by rookie QB Cam Newton. It isn't surprising that Smith was sitting on the bench of most of the teams that drafted him. In fantasy football there is nothing more painful than having a player blow up on your bench and I'm sure that a Smith would have helped a large percentage of the teams that did not start him in week 1.
But is it time to lock Smith into your lineup as a primary receiver? I don't think so, in fact I think this is the time that Smith should be moved. If you did not start Smith in week 1 then you likely thought that there were better options on your roster and as such Smith is great trade material. Now is the time to get another player and let someone else take the chance of a bust.
