5 Surprise QBs for Week 3

5QBs week3

This year has been the season of the 400 yard passers but now in week 3 the defenses are getting settled. Even still there are 5 QBs this week that could be quite a surprise:

#5 Tavaris Jackson

I know, stop throwing things at the computer. I have never been a fan of Jackson but this week he faces the terrible pass defense of Arizona. In 2 games the Cardinals are averaging giving up 343 yards/game and they have given up 4 TDs through the air. With Jackson getting Sidney Rice back for the first time this year the QB has potential.

#4 Colt McCoy

The young QB has been getting better and this game could be a big confidence booster. The Ravens defense is not what it once was and this year Baltimore is giving up 302 yrds/game. Colt may be an option if you are caught in the quandry of Tony Romo.

#3 Kevin Kolb

Kolb got a good start on the season against the Panthers and so far has totaled 560 yards with 4 TDs. Last week Seattle defense gave up 298 yards through the air to the Steelers. This week Kolb will look to exploit Seattle by hitting Larry Fitzgerald early and often. 300 yards and 2 TDs are quite possible.

#2 Jay Cutler

If Cutler doesn't have a meltdown and throw to the wrong team he should be able to torch the Green Bay Packers for some serious yardage. Green Bay defense is averaging 400 yards a game to opposing QBs, and that was before Charles Woodson's injury. Cutler will be targeting Matt Forte since the Packers struggle covering pass catching RBs and yardage north of 300 yards is very likely.

#1 Ryan Fitzpatrick

It's time to drink the Koolade! If you remember, we were pushing Fitzpatrick before week 1. So far this year Fitz has been fantastic. While the yardage may not be gaudy the TDs are with 7 TDs so far. Fitz will look to tear apart the Patriots who are giving up 381/game. New England has also given up 4 TDs through the air. I look for more yardage this week, somwhere in the 275-325 range with 2 TDs.
