Romo WILL Play!

tonyromo

Although Cowboy QB Tony Romo has not practiced all week he is expected to play. While I expect Romo to be on the field Monday night for the matchup against the Redskins I'm sure he will have limeted weapons.

WR Miles Austin - Last week Austin was great without Dez Bryant in the mix but he strained his hamstring that gave him trouble in the preseason. I do not expect Austin to play.

WR Dez Bryant - All signs point to Bryant being on the field Monday Night but at what capacity? I am sure that the quad injury suffered in week 1 will limit what Bryant can do and in fact may reduce him to a decoy.

RB Felix Jones - Jones injured his shoulder last week proving yet again that he is a glass tiger. Jones will not be the focus of the ground game if HC Jason Garrett remembers that the Cowboys have a ground game.

Analysis

Romo will play and most likely has 200-250 yards with 1-2 TDs. It is not impossible that he will not finish this game since the Redskins have quietly put together a solid defense including 7 sacks on the year.

The running game will be a 3 headed "monster" with Tashard Choice and rookie DeMarco Murray splitting time with Jones. This situation is too ugly to start any of these guys but Murray is worth a roster spot in case he pans out, if you can carry him.

With both starting WRs banged up the Cowboys will look to use Kevin Ogeltree & Jesse Holley. If you are in a real pinch you may want to try Ogletree. Holley looked good last week although the 49ers have absolutely ZERO DBs.
