Welcome to Week 1 of the FFBlitz.com “Start and Sit” column.  Check here each and every week during the Fantasy Football season to learn the opinions of our experts on the week’s best and worst fantasy starts for each team.

WEEK 1:  (Here we go….)

Sept. 8th
Saints at Packers:  Start - Aaron Rodgers, Greg Jennings,  Jerimichael Finley, Mason Crosby, Drew Brees, Marques Colston, Robert Meachem, and Jimmy Graham.  Sit - Any running back on either team, or either defense. 

Sept.  11th
Falcons at Bears:  Start - Roddy White, Julio Jones, Falcons Defense, (any defense against Cutler, actually) Sit - Roy Williams, who will likely be a permanent fixture on our “sit” lists.  Fantasy 2011 Commandment  Thou Shalt not, under any circumstances, start Roy Williams.

Lions at Bucs:  One only has to go back a season or two to recall a time when watching this matchup was used as punishment in some countries.  Start - Calvin Johnson, Brandon Pettigrew, Nate Burelson, Mike Williams.  Sit - Any Bucs receiver not named “Williams.”

Steelers at Ravens:  Start - Both Defenses, both kickers, use alternatives to any offensive player in this game.  Those of you who selected Ray Rice or Rashard Mendenhall in the first round of your draft will enjoy great seasons, but not this Sunday.  Sit - Joe Flacco.

Colts at Texans:  Start - Arian Foster (but keep your fingers crossed), Andre Johnson, Owen Daniels, Dallas Clark.  Sit - Reggie Wayne, Kerry Collins, Adam Vinatieri, Colts Defense

Eagles at Rams:  Start - Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy, DeSean Jackson, Stephen Jackson, Lance Kendricks.  Sit - Jeremy Maclin, Rams Defense.

Titans at Jaguars:  Start - Chris Johnson, Maurice Jones-Drew, depending on your fear level of Luke McCown, who may have to use the force.  Kenny Britt.  Sit - Any Jaguars receiver.

Bills at Chiefs:  Start - Jamaal Charles, Dwayne Bowe, Stevie Johnson  Sit - Matt Cassel, Fred Jackson, CJ Spiller.  (Spiller is just a funny since we know no one starts CJ Spiller.)

Bengals at Browns:  Start - Commandment For Fantasy 2011:  “Thou Shalt Not Start any Bengals Unless There is NO Alternative!”  Peyton Hillis, Colt McCoy, Browns Defense, Phil Dawson.  Sit - Follow the above Commandment. 

Vikings at Chargers:  Start - Adrian Peterson, Phillip Rivers, Vincent Jackson, Antonio Gates, Malcolm Floyd.  Sit - Vikings Defense, and Kindly old Donovan, his seat will have wheels, though.

Seahawks at San Francisco:  One of the few games this season where Alex Smith is by far and away the better Quarterback.  Start - Frank Gore, Vernon Davis, 49ers Defense, Zach Miller.  Sit - Tavaris Jackson (No kidding), Marshawn Lynch, Michael Crabtree.  That’s another fantasy Commandment for 2011, by the way.  “Thou Shalt Not start Michael Crabtree unless there is no alternative.”

Giants at Redskins:  Sexy Rexy is back.  Start - Rex Grossman, Tim Hightower, Mario Manningham.  Sit - Giants Defense, Chris Cooley, Giants Conditioning Coach.

Panthers at Cardinals:  Start - Larry Fitzgerald, Kevin Kolb, Beanie Wells, Cardinals Defense.  Sit - Cam Newton, Greg Olsen, Jeremy Shockey, Jonathan Stewart, you get the idea.

Cowboys at Jets:  Start - Shonn Grenne, Jason Witten,  both defenses, Sit - Both QB’s.  Romo is a solid starter, but this is a tough matchup on the road for a guy who hasn’t played in a while. 

Sept. 12
Patriots at Dolphins:  Start - Tom Brady, Wes Welker, Brandon Marshall.  Sit - Chad OchoStinko, Dolphins Defense.

Raiders at Broncos:  Start - Kyle Orton, Brandon Lloyd, Darren McFadden, Jacoby Ford, Sebastian Janikowski,  Sit - Broncos Defense, Knowshon Moreno,
